Using plant based whole foods like vegetables and fruits, legumes, seeds and nuts, some whole grains, as well as mushrooms and fish, we’ve tried to make our recipes as clean as possible and only filled with natural goodness our bodies thrive on.
We believe it’s not about counting calories but rather understand the type of calorie it is. Is the calorie natural or processed? Saturated or unsaturated? Digestible or indigestible? Can your body use it for good or is it an empty calorie? These are the questions that will keep you healthy, full and naturally trim. It’s knowing what your body needs, appreciating why it needs it, and then delivering it in the most delicious way.
We cut out meat (besides fish), dairy, sugar, anything processed or anything that stops the body from healing itself. The ingredients we use you can buy in your local store, and most recipes use the same ingredients and spices. It’s incredible how versatile vegetables can be and many of my recipes use the same ingredients. With onions, garlic, broccoli, tomatoes, avocado, mushrooms, sweet potato and carrots the possibilities of dishes are endless.
However, committing to a clean way of living and eating does require a few helpers. Things that make your life easier and open you up to a world of endless vegetarian possibilities at your finger tips. We recommend in your kitchen a spiralizer is a must for veggie-based pasta, a food processor for sauces, veggie rice and clean flour, and a blender for smoothies and soups. Trust me they will save you loads of precious time.
